Sisters In Society Taking Action Girls Rite of Passage Program (S.I.S.T.A) was founded in 2003. The program is based on the principles & teachings of an African Rite for young girls ages 10-17. This year in October S.I.S.T.A will begin its 16th year. The goal is to provide the program for FREE to the young women of the Las Vegas community.
On September 28th “Give HER the Mic” will feature some of the most AMAZING Spoken Word Artists, a soulful Vocalist, a Comedienne who will have you busting your gut & a slamming dope DJ. Proceeds from this show will provide scholarships and support materials for the program.
