Each of our team members are passionate about the natural hair movement, and they’re even more passionate about sharing with you the benefits of going natural. Bobbie, Owner & Founder
Bobbie founded Raw Remedies with a goal to inspire and serve people of all types on their journey towards being their most natural selves. She realized that too many of the products designed for natural hair were being made by people who didn’t have natural hair.
Her passion is to fill that void. With a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, she created a series of natural and organic beauty products which have aided in the improvement and restoration of many people’s hair and lifestyles.
EL, Salon Coordinator
Laura aka “El” provides customer service and quality control management at Raw Remedies. She’s been in the natural hair care industry for about two and a half years. To El, “natural” means something or someone in its truest form—no alterations, no imitation. She believes being natural allows you to show people who and what you are and embrace it no matter if anyone else accepts it. Outside of work, El loves to listen to music, write, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy the outdoors.
Genie, Cosmetologist/ Facility Manager
Genie serves as Facility Manager and Cosmetologist. To her, natural means using products that aren’t processed with chemicals or additives! She started doing hair many years ago. While managing elders’ hair, she realized the need to accommodate them with natural products & services. She found the senior community doesn’t have much support or education on managing the many ailments they suffer from that affects the hair, nails, and skin. Outside work, partying is Genie’s favorite activity. She says, “when there is a party, everyone is happy!”
Jiyea, Loctician
Ji’yea specializes in starting, repairing, and maintaining locs. Raised around the Cosmetology industry, she always had a niche for doing hair. When she started her loc journey in 2010, she became even more educated about natural hair. To Ji’yea, “natural” means raw, authentic—not containing anything artificial. She says, “You are who you are, and nothing compares to your God-given natural features.” Outside of work, Ji’yea expresses a passion for fashion and stays productive in her community.
Shanae, Natural Hair Stylist/ Loctician
Shanae specializes in natural hair care, including two-strand twists, twistouts, loc maintenance, flat iron styles, and more. She’s been working in natural hair care for about five years. Shanae believes being natural is to be raw and pure. She says it’s important to be natural so you can better know your true intuitive self—and own it! Outside of work, Shanae loves to eat.

We use the best organic ingredients to make sure we maintain your hair health. We also sell our organic hair products, so you can take some home and continue good natural hair care in between visits.
